T21481 Single Valve Spring Compressor for GE FDL Engines
The single valve spring compressor is used to compress one valve spring at a time. This allows for valve spring retainer removal or installation. This tool can also be used on the diesel engine by applying the T21500 air valve adapter in the compression relief hole and barring the engine over until all 4 valves are closed and the piston positioned at top dead center. Shop air is supplied to the air valve adapter thus forcing the valves to seat. Valve rotators and broken valve springs can be replaced in this manner. Install tool as illustrated in photo.
